An informal, fun visitors guide to Ocean City, Maryland — written like a local friend showing you around, built like a reference you can trust. Every place listed is real, every fact carries a source, and every source is cited on the page where the fact appears. Nearly two hundred places are covered across the island and the mainland, from the boardwalk and the beach to the nightlife, the worship services, the festivals and the food.
It is independent and unaffiliated. The guide has no association with the Town of Ocean City, ococean.com, the Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association, or any business listed in it. Nobody pays to be included, and nothing anyone pays for could change what the guide says about them.
Underneath the guide sits a year-by-year local history record built from primary sources, live tracking of the Coastal Highway Beach Bus with real arrival times and daily reliability figures, and eleven browser games tied to a Sand Dollars economy of badges and streaks. It installs as a web app and keeps working offline. It is also deliberately built to be read by AI agents: every page has a clean Markdown twin at the same address, and the site publishes its own machine-readable index and tool surface.
It is still being built. Sign-in is optional and almost everything works signed out, with your progress kept in your own browser. There are no analytics, no trackers, and no payments of any kind. The privacy page lists everything that is stored when you do sign in, and the deletion page removes it.
